Andrea Miller is executive director of People Demanding Action, a nonprofit that promotes clean energy in Virginia and nationwide. She lives in Caroline County and is a fierce advocate for solar and for fair voting practices, both in our government and at her electric cooperative.
From 1997 until her retirement in 2018 she owned and operated Data Acqsys where she designed and presented IT courses for Johns Hopkins, University of Maryland Medical School and Howard Community College. In 2004 she transitioned to Homeland Security IT and developed training programs for Maryland Emergency Management Agency (MEMA), Pennsylvania Emergency Management Agency (PEMA) Virginia Department of Emergency Management (VDEM), and DCEMA on Emergency Management Operations Center communications. As a consultant to State and County emergency management agencies, she understands the importance of maintaining our roads, bridges and critical infrastructure.
I support consumer-focused utility innovations, organizational transparency and best governance practices.
